通信事業者が先導するモバイルICT（医療、公共（行政）、エネルギー（スマートシティ）～GSMA MWC2011より

本レポートでは、モバイルICTを活用した「医療」サービスを中心に、「公共・行政」サービス及び「エネルギーマネージメントを含むICT都市構想」についてGSMA MWC2011で議論された内容を取り上げる。

Increasingly, mobile communications operators are leveraging their technologies to gain new revenue streams in a wide range of industries other than the telecommunications industry. Potentially, mobile technology can provide huge benefits; mobility, cost reduction and attractive services linked with other mobile applications in these developing markets. Amongst these possibilities an area of particular promise for utilizing mobile technologies is in M2M (machine to machine) communication technology. With wireless communication modules, mobile operator’s assets such as connectivity, billing, authorization and customer base, give a broad range of options for operators to create profitable alliances with partners in other industries. This report is based upon participation in the GSMA Mobile World Congress 2011, and consists of a summary of current trends of mobile ICT technology taking place in other industries, and especially in mobile health as known as mHealth.
