フランスにおける高度交通システム（ITS）利活用の実際

　欧州において情報通信技術を用いて交通の効率化・快適化を図る高度交通システム（ITS）が盛んに利活用されている。
　既に様々なITSサービスが各国で利用されており、PC向けのインターネットサービスやカーナビ、Portable Navigation Device/Personal Navigation Deviceと呼ばれる小型の携帯端末（以下「PND」）を用いたナビゲーションシステムに加え、近年では主にスマートフォンを対象とした携帯電話へのITSサービスの導入も進みつつある。
　フランスではiPhoneをはじめとするスマートフォンの普及率が高く、これらの端末の活用方法が今後のITSサービス展開に大きな影響を与えると考えられる。
　本稿では、フランス在住の筆者がITSサービスに関して、欧州とくにフランスにおける主要なサービスを調査し、かつその利活用の実態について利用者視点で概観する。

Recently, wide varieties of standardized organizations and commercial companies have actively been developing Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) in Europe. There have been Several ITS services i.e. Road traffic monitoring services for WEB browsers, Car navigation systems integrated into a dedicated hardware, so-called Portable Navigation Device/Personal Navigation Device (PND). Furthermore, the ITS services has also been using mobile phones, especially smartphones (iPhone, Android, etc), as front-end devices. As the smartphones has popularized mobile devices in France, it is assumed that these devices will have a significant impact on the future ITS.
This report overviews the typical ITS services and its usage in Europe from the point of view of vehicle users in France.
